A secondary prevention strategy to reduce the incidence of pedophilia includes:

Answer:

A secondary prevention strategy to reduce the incidence of pedophilia includes reinforcing agents as hired security. For example, if a child is kidnapped from an event, more than one guard should not be in that area at the same time; this guards may also be placed close to the exit of the event so that they can easily respond to an alarm or other sign of trouble.

Addressing the psychological and biological mechanisms underlying the development of this sexual interest requires a multidisciplinary approach. This section of our report provides an overview of current research and recommendations for the prevention of pedophilia. We first address the unique characteristics and perspectives associated with female perpetrators of child sexual abuse, as well as their distinct vulnerabilities. Next, we review basic research on a range of medical conditions thought to confer risk for pedophilic behavior, ultimately proposing secondary preventive strategies that could be considered by legislators and advocacy groups who currently focus primarily on male offenders. Complementary strategies are important, given the limited evidence base for primary preventive interventions that have been shown to reduce recidivism or desistance from this criminal behavior in men who have already committed an offense. An integrated approach may also enhance strategies for co-occurring disorders in which comorbid pedophilia is common, including child maltreatment perpetration and substance use disorders.

Consideration should be given to additional preventive strategies that could reduce the risk of pedophilia, such as improving education, eliminating poverty, and reducing chaotic family configurations after divorce.

We believe that with the correct guidance and safety precautions, sex offenders have the potential to live a long and productive life in society. The primary objective of our research is to provide accurate information regarding the most current best practices in the assessment and treatment of sex offenders.
