As a scholar and part of the intellectual community, you will want to understand ways to integrate feedback to be able to join a larger conversation. A significant part of scholarly writing is revising based on your colleagues’ feedback, and now that you have a substantial amount of writing; it is time to reflect on the ways you have incorporated your Instructor’s feedback. This week’s Learning Resources will help you examine rhetorical strategies for placing yourself in the scholarly conversation, such as using the personal pronoun, “I.” For this Discussion, you will reflect on how your voice fits into the scholarly conversation—beginning with the conversation between your Instructor and yourself. This initial Discussion is part of a continual conversation during the remainder of this course as your Instructor and yourself revise, review, and reflect on your writing. By Tuesday 12/26/2017, in APA format with at least one reference, a 1- to 2-paragraph reflection on your use of your Instructor’s feedback throughout the past few weeks of this course and your participation in the scholarly conversation. ( You may choose to reflect specifically on how you will apply scholarly voice concepts in this week’s Assignment.) Laureate Education. (2015). Evaluation: What is it? [Infographic]. Incorporating feedback is an essential part of the scholarly writing process. Through revision and reflection, scholars are able to refine their arguments and strengthen their contributions to the larger conversation in their field. As a student, it is important to understand how to integrate feedback effectively in order to develop and improve as a scholar.

Throughout this course, I have actively engaged with my instructor’s feedback and incorporated it into my writing. My instructor has provided valuable insights and suggestions that have helped me to refine my arguments and clarify my ideas. By carefully considering and implementing their feedback, I have been able to strengthen my contributions to the scholarly conversation.

One specific way in which I have integrated my instructor’s feedback is by utilizing the personal pronoun “I” in my writing. This rhetorical strategy allows me to position myself within the scholarly conversation and assert my own perspectives and insights. By incorporating the use of “I,” I am able to establish my own voice and demonstrate my engagement with the topic at hand.

In addition to incorporating feedback from my instructor, I have also been actively participating in the larger scholarly conversation through my writing. By taking into account the perspectives and arguments of other scholars in my field, I have been able to situate my own ideas within the existing body of knowledge. This has allowed me to make meaningful contributions while also acknowledging and respecting the work of others.

Moving forward, I plan to continue applying the concepts of scholarly voice in my writing. I recognize the importance of establishing my own voice and perspective while also engaging with and integrating the ideas of others. By doing so, I will be able to make valuable contributions to the scholarly conversation and advance knowledge in my field.

In conclusion, I have found the feedback from my instructor to be instrumental in helping me refine my ideas and strengthen my arguments. By incorporating their suggestions and utilizing the personal pronoun “I,” I have been able to assert my voice and engage in the larger scholarly conversation. As I continue in this course and beyond, I will apply the concepts of scholarly voice to further enhance my contributions to the field.
