Evidence-Based Project, Part 2: Advanced Levels of Clinical Inquiry and Systematic Reviews (Evidence-Based Project) Create a 6- to 7-slide PowerPoint presentation in which you do the following: · Identify and briefly describe your chosen clinical issue of interest. · Describe how you developed a PICO(T) question focused on your chosen clinical issue of interest. · Identify the four research databases that you used to conduct your search for the peer-reviewed articles you selected. · Provide APA citations of the four relevant peer-reviewed articles at the systematic-reviews level related to your research question. If there are no systematic review level articles or meta-analysis on your topic, then use the highest level of evidence peer reviewed article. · Describe the levels of evidence in each of the four peer-reviewed articles you selected, including an explanation of the strengths of using systematic reviews for clinical research. Be specific and provide examples. · Review the Resources and identify a clinical issue of interest that can form the basis of a clinical inquiry. · Develop a PICO(T) question to address the clinical issue of interest you identified in Module 2 for the Assignment. This PICOT question will remain the same for the entire course. · Use the key words from the PICO(T) question you developed and search at least four different databases in the Walden Library. Identify at least four relevant systematic reviews or other filtered high-level evidence, which includes meta-analyses, critically-appraised topics (evidence syntheses), critically-appraised individual articles (article synopses). The evidence will not necessarily address all the elements of your PICO(T) question, so select the most important concepts to search and find the best evidence available. · Reflect on the process of creating a PICO(T) question and searching for peer-reviewed research.

In this assignment, we will be creating a PowerPoint presentation that focuses on advanced levels of clinical inquiry and systematic reviews. We will start by identifying and briefly describing a clinical issue of interest. Next, we will develop a PICO(T) question that is focused on the chosen clinical issue. We will then identify four research databases that we used to conduct our search for peer-reviewed articles related to our research question. In addition, we will provide APA citations for the four relevant peer-reviewed articles at the systematic reviews level.

The clinical issue of interest that I have chosen is the effectiveness of mindfulness-based therapy in reducing symptoms of anxiety in adults. Mindfulness-based therapy is gaining popularity as a treatment option for various mental health conditions, including anxiety. However, it is important to evaluate the efficacy of this treatment modality in order to provide evidence-based recommendations for clinical practice.

To develop a PICO(T) question focused on this clinical issue, I considered the following components:

– Population: Adult individuals with symptoms of anxiety
– Intervention: Mindfulness-based therapy
– Comparison: Other forms of therapy or no therapy
– Outcome: Reduction in symptoms of anxiety

Therefore, the PICO(T) question is as follows: In adults with symptoms of anxiety, does mindfulness-based therapy compared to other forms of therapy or no therapy lead to a reduction in symptoms of anxiety?

For this assignment, I conducted a search using four research databases to find relevant peer-reviewed articles at the systematic reviews level. The databases I used were PubMed, PsycINFO, CINAHL, and Cochrane Library.

The four relevant peer-reviewed articles at the systematic reviews level related to my research question are as follows:

These articles were selected based on their relevance to my research question and their systematic reviews level. Systematic reviews are considered the highest level of evidence in evidence-based practice because they provide a comprehensive and unbiased synthesis of multiple studies on a specific topic. They involve a rigorous methodological approach to identify, appraise, and synthesize the available evidence to answer a well-defined research question.

Each of the four selected articles provides a systematic review of the effectiveness of mindfulness-based therapy in reducing symptoms of anxiety in adults. They assess the quality of existing studies, analyze the findings, and draw conclusions based on the overall body of evidence. These systematic reviews provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of research in this area and can guide clinical decision-making.

In conclusion, this assignment has allowed us to identify and describe a clinical issue of interest, develop a PICO(T) question focused on the clinical issue, identify four research databases used to conduct the search for relevant peer-reviewed articles, and provide APA citations for the four relevant articles at the systematic reviews level. We have also discussed the importance of systematic reviews in clinical research and their strengths in providing high-quality evidence for practice.
