HCA 255 TOPIC 1 DQ 2

Health laws are passed by the legislative branch of federal and state governments. These laws often rely upon allocating funds to the executive branch to enforce them.  Please provide an example of a historic law that was passed at the federal or state level that is not currently funded for enforcement.

Answer:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was created by Congress in 1970 in response to growing concerns about the impact of human activity on the environment. The EPA has since been responsible for enforcing environmental laws, including those related to air quality and water quality, as well as toxic substances and waste management.  The agency’s budget is set annually by Congress, but when it comes to enforcing these laws, they have had difficulty getting funding from Congress because many members don’t believe that they are necessary or effective enough.
