HCA 699 Topic 8 DQ 1

Post your Evidence-Based Practice Proposal Project Presentation as directed by the instructor. Review all of the presentations but provide critical commentary only to two others posted. This is a peer review of the proposal project, you will need to address the strengths of the proposal as well as recommendations for improvement. If a post already has two feedback posts then move on to another peer review proposal project presentation. You will be responsible for responding to each peer’s feedback that is posted to your original presentation post.

Answer:

DQ 1: The proposal for this project is strong. The writer has clearly defined their purpose and research questions, as well as what they hope to achieve with their project. They have also clearly outlined the steps they will take in order to achieve this goal.

My only concern is that the writer did not address why they believe this project is important or how it might impact nursing or the healthcare system at large. It would be helpful if they could make a case for why their work would be useful and relevant to nursing practice. Also, while I appreciate the inclusion of citations on the topic, it’s important that these citations are used correctly—the writer needs to make sure that they have properly formatted them and cited them correctly in APA style. This would help ensure that any future readers can read through your paper and understand where you drew your information from.

I really enjoyed reading everyone’s proposals and found them to be very thorough and well-written. I think you all did a great job!

I’m going to comment on two proposals today:

1. [Name of author] – I thought this was a very good proposal, you clearly have a lot of knowledge about the topic. The only thing I would suggest is adding more detail about how the nursing student will benefit from this project. For example, if it’s an online course or something like that then maybe explain what kind of interaction they will have with other students in the class. If it’s just a lecture then maybe explain how they will be able to get involved in discussions and such. That way your audience can see how they can apply their knowledge after learning about your research topic.

2.[Name of author] – This proposal is pretty similar to yours but it didn’t seem as well-written and complete as yours did which made me wonder if there were other factors at play here like maybe both authors are working together on this project so they just wanted to make sure they both got credit? I don’t know if that’s true or not but just my guess

I will be reviewing the following two proposals:

– [User name] – Ethical Dilemmas in Nursing Practice

– [User name] – The Nurse’s Role in the Health Care System of Canada

1. I really enjoyed the presentation and the format of your post. I was able to quickly get an overview of your project, the problem you are trying to solve, and how you plan on doing so. I also liked that you included a link to a commercial software program that could help with your data collection and analysis.

2. The only recommendation I have is to consider including a brief summary at the beginning of your proposal instead of having all of the information at the end of it. This way readers can quickly scan through what you’re presenting and find out if it’s relevant or not before reading through the entire document.

Dear Colleagues,

I have reviewed the following project proposals:

-Project 1 by [name]

-Project 2 by [name]

-Project 3 by [name]

I have identified that Project 1 has the strongest evidence base for its topic and the project would benefit from the addition of a few additional sources. I recommend that Project 1 review the following sources: -[source 1], [source 2], and [source 3].

In addition to adding these sources, I advise that Project 1 add a few more details to the literature review section. I recommend that they include a brief overview on how they plan to use each source so they can inform their readers about what they will learn from each source. These details could also be used as a justification for why each new source was added to their proposal.

Project 2’s topic is very broad and does not meet all of the requirements for this assignment. The question posed does not require much research or data collection and would be better suited as an essay question. It may be more beneficial to narrow down your topic and focus on one aspect of

I really enjoyed the presentation and I think you have a great topic. Your evidence is strong and your research is thorough.

I see some room for improvement in your proposal, though. First of all, you need to make sure that you are using APA style throughout the entire document. You have some inconsistencies with that here and there, which can make it difficult for readers to follow along with what you’re saying and how you’re saying it.

Second, I would recommend adding some more details about how you plan on implementing this project in a real-world setting. What kind of resources are available to you? What kind of experience do you have working within these kinds of settings? Is there anything else that might be helpful for me as an evaluator?

I think that this post is a good start. There are some things that need to be improved, but overall, it’s a solid foundation for your project.

I’d like to see more evidence in the body of the post, instead of just in the intro. Show us why you chose [topic], and how it will apply to your topic. The intro is definitely important, and you’ve included a lot of information there—but I’d like to see more specific details about how you plan on applying those ideas in your project. That will help me understand what aspects of the topic you’re focusing on, and how they’ll be applied.

Also, I’m not sure if this is just because this is an example post or not, but there were a lot of typos and grammar errors that made it hard for me to understand what you were saying at times (like in “The project will apply.”).

Other than that though, I think this is a good place for your project!
